Janette waited till she was seated before swinging the lighted magnifying glass over her hand. Taking up the tweezers, she began to carefully remove the tiny shards, one at a time, and drop them in a small glass dish on the table. "So, Mia, tell me how this happened," she said.

"I got frustrated...So I punched the mirror." Mia told her vaguely. She was very hesitant to say any more than that, she'd much rather avoid it.

"You punched your mirror?" Janette's eyes widened in surprise, though of course Mia couldn't see her. She wondered why a blind girl would have a mirror in her room in the first place, and what caused her to become so frustrated as to punch it.

Mia listened carefully to the tone of Janette's voice, and definitely heard the shock.

"Yes, I did...My paranoia is getting worse, I can't do much of anything because of my bad heart, I'm always stuck in my room, and I've never been able to actually see myself in the mirror. It's just there, and when I look into it I see nothing. So I wanted to break it."

Janette set the tweezers down on the edge of the bowl. She had gotten about half of the shards out, but wanted to give Mia a rest from it. "So you broke it. Huh." She was actually rather impressed. "Who's your nurse?" She asked

"My nurse is...Nurse Amica." Mia said, having a hard time remembering her name since she barely ever actually heard it, and it wasn't like she could read the name tag.

Janette didn't recognize the name, but surely she had run into the woman at some point during her residence here. The place was small enough that you would see everyone at some way or another.
She rinsed off the tweezers and wiped them off with a napkin, then resumed her shard-picking. "Nearly done. Just a little bit more." She adjusted the magnifying glass, moving it closer to Mia's hand. "You certainly made a mess of your hand, and probably the mirror as well. I'll send someone to your room to clean up as soon as possible. Meanwhile, you can stay here or go to the cafeteria," she said.

Serena passed by and stopped right in her tracks and backed up and saw Mia's bloody hand,"oh dear"she muttered.she picked her stuff back p and walked away.

Nathan walked through the hall up to Mia's room to see how she was doing. He came up to her door then gently knocked on it, when he heard no repsponce he knocked a little harder. Now slightly worried he checked to see if the door was unlocked, and it was. Nathan stepped into the room and saw it empty, and a pile of broken glass on the floor. He stepped out of the room and shut the door behind him, now slightly more worried then before he decided to head to the hospital part of the facility to see if Mia was there.

"Okay. I'll just wait in the cafeteria once this is done..." Mia said and waited patiently for all of the shards to be removed.

Janette finished and set the tweezers down. "There, all done. If you want to wait a minute, I can help you to the cafeteria. It won't take me long to clean this up," she said.

(Did Emily leave the room?)
