home made bator

I am just curious...
1) Have anyone try to put the thermistat outside for easy access to adjust the temperature? The only reason I could think.. it inside because of the safety if you have kids.

2) Is there a reason not to use LED white or Tricolor fan? I got a free beat up LG and like to swap the black fan with color one for visibility.

As far as where to put the thermostat I think it also has something to do with the heat from the bulb that makes it shut off, but I could be wrong. I know it's just easier since you don't have to run the wires as far. As far as the fan, the only reason I used the black fan is because that is the one I got for free. I don't think the color (type) matters as long as it's not too big for the size bator you have.

This is exactly right the t-stat senses the temperature and shuts off the heat supply when the bator gets to the right temperature it needs to be on the inside so this is possible
