You have some good looking home made traps,,they look better than mine. I'm betting you spent more time building yours though,,lol. I slapped mine together in about 2 hours,,,grabbing anything that would work for lumber.
I did catch a cat in it the other day. I let it go,,,,its not what killed my duck. I have seen that cat and ducks in the yard together before.
Whatever killed ducks,,,hasn't been back. I have 3 traps set since. And really NO action on them,,or any other ducks/chickens being killed.
I'm leaving them set forever I think. Can you think of a reason why I should not??? lol Keeping bait in them could be a issue though.
I have been thinking that you don't want bait that is too smelly because it might attract predators that normally might not come to the area of my chicken coop,,,if not for the bait. Is there any truth to my thoughts???
