Crud @Cyprus I wish we would have thought to hold on to him for a while after you posted the pics.
Why didn't we think of this before?
:he
I mean...... He's still in a plastic bag inside a garbage bag outside.
But with our heat and bugs and all that stuff around here, I really do not want to dig him back out again.
And apparently using the tools I used on him was not okay with my parents even though I sterilized them afterwards. I'm not barking up that tree again.

To settle an argument:
Can the scissors I used be used near food again if I have bleached them for two hours after use?

uhh... yeah. especially if they were used on meat in the first place... what's the difference.

"US Government regulations (21 CFR Part 178) allow food processing equipment and food contact surfaces to be sanitized with solutions containing bleach, provided that the solution is allowed to drain adequately before contact with food, and that the solutions do not exceed 200 parts per million (ppm) available chlorine (for example, one tablespoon of typical household bleach containing 5.25% sodium hypochlorite, per gallon of water)."

Yes.
I do not think he had/has any disease and even if he did know that he is still edible.

Thank you!
My family is vegetarian, so these scissors haven't been used around meat. But I still don't see the issue.
They actually want me to throw them out. As in the garbage. *rolls eyes*
Note: They have left these scissors sitting outside in the dirt for days before and have still brought them back in to use around food without sanitizing.

Just by them some new dang scissors and put those in your drawer. (for next time ;)...in a few years)
