sure will! chickensnatcher is home with a super stuffy nose, so she requested tomato soup with a big hunk of bread.

we just got done putting it all together, kneading and now it's rising.

okay, here's the result: (sorry, the pics are a little fuzzy!)

my DD, aka chickensnatcher is eating the two slices in the pic. she said she really likes the texture. (which is big, because she has sensory issues.)
she also said she likes the taste. i will have some later when it is cooled. she couldn't wait.

just ask DH....but i digress...

i liked working with this recipe. the dough was very satiny when kneaded. great texture. i will definitely try it with bread flour next time so i get a better shape, i could have put just a tad more flour in it as it is humid here today. but, i wanted to stick to the 'formula' on my first go. it smells lovely and the crust is very good.

again, i stress the recipe is awesome, and i am sure it will be even better with bread flour.

Yummy!

So what do you think about it?!?!

Also wondering if you rolled it out and then rolled it up like you would cinnamon rolls? I've tried not rolling it and just letting it rise and the rolling it out. You get two different textures doing it that way and rolling it out makes it come out MUCH better! Not rolling it out makes the bread to airy and light.

Looks Yummy

Going to see if I have all the stuff to make it right now, hope it turns out for me

, it would go great with dinner tonight... Perfect Winter Beef Stew from kraft.com

I have a 5 lb. bag of wheat flour I was wanting to use up.

Can I substitute 5 cups wheat flour for the bread flour and still make a decent bread?

just wondering, not a great baker here and learning.

thanks
