always cover bread dough when it is rising. (it'll dry out and be weird)

i cover with buttered plastic wrap. (you can use veggie oil, butter or PAM type stuff)

also, a damp tea towel is effective.

the regular flour worked fine for me, go for it!

gumpsgirl's recipe is very nice!

Thanks miss_jayne

I just went and covered it, hope its not too late. If it is theres always next time. I'm not a good baker lol I've tried and tried to make great rolls and homemade biscuits and now bread... One day I will secede, I hope. lol

so easy to mix up and fast.

I got mine rising right now wiht a tea towel....off to get it damp...whew....good thing this thread is so informative!

I am going to make one big loaf......then take the second loaf and make buns......experiment but might as well try. Hope they come out decent....like hamburger buns??? we'll see..LOL

don't panic, it'll probably be just fine.

the key to good biscuits...add a little more liquid (just a little) than your recipe calls for. then knead just a bit. the dough will be a little soft.
roll it thin and fold into three layers. then cut your biscuits and let them rise for about 3-4 minutes before baking. (oh, and Miss Prissy gave me a great hint. LARD! seriously, they are so much better. and fat is fat!)

with rolls, don't roll them too much. HANDS OFF! less handling of any bread gives best results. over handling or kneading = tough stuff.

you will succeed because your doing it already by just trying!

lol I made 1 loaf and tore the other half into chunks for buns/roll... I hope

Ovens preheating right now and then we will see how I did

if you cut the second loaf portion into 6-8 pieces, you'll have hamburger bun/kaiser roll type size. (i shake some sesame seeds on and they look great!)
