it's good to have an arsenal of bread recipes. some i use for cinnamon/sweet rolls, some i use for sandwich bread and this one i felt was a good dinner bread.
the texture of this bread lends itself to a free form loaf.

OH! However did I forget to tell you all?!?! This recipe makes wonderful cinnamon roll also! Everything in the recipe is the same, but once you get your bread rolled out, rub it down with some softened butter. Then you will sprinkle sugar (I just use white) all over the top and then sprinkle with cinnamon. Then roll up and slice. I usually bake them for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the tops are just barely turning brown. You can also throw a handful of chocolate chips on the dough, after you sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon, then roll up. Very yummy!
I also have a great icing recipe for the cinnamon rolls if anyone is interested.

They are so yummy! When I make cinnamon rolls, I usually do one half of the dough in cinnamon rolls and then make the other half into a loaf of bread. That way I get the best of both worlds.

Hey I made the bread again today but its different from when I made it the other night? Its flatter, it was kind of sticky when I kneaded it (if thats a word) I added alittle more flour but maybe it wasnt enough? I let is rise on the baking sheet covered with plastic. I dont know what I did wrong....
try it again
