1.) Person A offers a gift(s) worth $10. Gift may be anything homemade, but must be something that ships easily and must not expire within six months or so. This is so that people can offer the items as gifts for the holidays. Person B likes what is offered and says "I'll take those and in turn offer..." Person C likes it and offers another homemade item that fits the requirements.

2.) To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post what you are offering in return in the same post.

3.) When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the items and work out the shipping arrangements.

4.) The person receiving the items will pay no shipping because the person who sends them will have received their seeds without paying shipping as well.

5.) Try to be as specific as possible about the items. Please list any ingredients, flavors, scents, sizes, etc.

6.) Again, items must be valued at $10 or more, this is to make shipping worth it, since some items will be expensive to ship. Please keep in mind flat rate shipping, it may be cheaper than regular priority or parcel post.

7.) All packages MUST be sent with delivery confirmation (just ask for it when the P.O. asks if there are any extra services needed). Delivery confirmation costs $.70 for Priority packages, $.80 for other shipping options and is free if you print your label through the USPS store. This is to prevent non-shipments and false claims of lost packages.

8.) Items must be shipped out within one week of the offer being accepted, unless otherwise discussed between offerer and accepter.

(Wording stolen from MsBear from the seed chain, who stole it from Shelleyd2008 from the Crazy Quail / Gamebird Swap, lol. )

Ideas for what can be offered: Soaps, candles, jams, sewing projects, crochet, candies, etc. As long as it does not expire within six months.

I'll start it off by offering 1lb of a soap base. This is to "rebatch" and make your own scent and pour it into your own molds. The current color is a creamy off white.

Ingredients: Soybean oil, bovine cream, lard. All saponified of course. No fragrances or colorants.

Plus, 16oz (by weight) of smelly jelly, use your own container. Scents would be either eucalyptus (EO), cider (FO), lilac (FO), white tea and ginger (FO) or oatmeal, milk and honey (FO).

Hmm. This soap is easy-peasy. Just use a double boiler (or throw it into a glass container inside of a pot of water), melt it down, add a small amount of water, GENTLY stir, then add your colorants, fragrances, anything else that you want to mix into it, then put it into your containers. If nobody claims this, I'll put some finished soap up instead.

I think finished soap would go faster...I don't know how to make soap either

As I said above, this is already made, you just melt it, add color and scent and pour into molds to make it into your own shapes. I thought that this would be popular, since melt & pour soaps (generally glycerin based) are popular, and because you could make your own REAL soaps without having to have dangerous chemical lye around. But, I'll poke around to see what I can come up with for finished soaps.

dont take this offer away just yet, my DDs really like to make melt and pour soap, but I am trying to think of something I could forward for it. maybe put it on the back burner and I will keep watch on this thread.
Thanks

Ok, I'll offer either the above, or molded soaps. Unfortunately, I only have cupcake molds right now, so that's what it'll be in the shape of. No colors (I simply don't have any). But, I can scent it for you, choose from the above scents. Only one scent can be chosen, sorry!!! I'll get a weight on the soaps (going to make a batch of doggy soap), I'll post weight and pics in the next day or two.

I would like to participate. I would take the soap stuff. I have homemade vanilla extract and I could throw in a pan of homemade Kahlua fudge. Is that allowable or is it not OK because fudge has a shelf life of less than 6 months? It's a killer fudge and a pan would easily be more than $10.
