Day 18 - Lockdown Day

Well, we are down to 3 sweet little eggs. 10 ended up not being viable.

#4, #6, and #12 look pretty lonely in there now but we are hopeful!

And I think we are going to start looking for some chicks to add to this group once they (hopefully ) hatch in case we end up with cockerels.

Please let me know if you see anything I didn’t see. I’m brand new at this and I’m sure I messed up somewhere. Prayers appreciated!

I hear that silkies are tricky to hatch too
It gets easier with experience

Day 19 and nothing yet.

Some of mine hatched late day 19, but I think my incubator was running a little hot.
Most hatched early day 20, I had one holdout for day 21 that I had to assist.

Well, I think I’m wrong about this. We set the eggs at 6pm on 2/2, so I think we technically just started Day 20 a couple hours ago.
