Kloppers made some of them last year and showed us pictures. I am going to have to try them.



Her argument against the dump box is it will look "ugly". Its a 16 year old truck and we have Van and a SUV for other driving.

So in my mind, I won the argument. I think a dump box and sell the box that is on it, is a start.



I am trying to think if there is a way I could use those hog panels to make a breeding coop. Maybe one sheet of OSB and one panel.

Sturdy and light enough to move by hand. I would recommend modifications for snow load if you wanted to use it year round. I housed 20-25 birds in each moved 2x daily in the summer

There are lots of photos and some of my plan sketches. I haven't yet done a full write up on it but a handy person could figure it out, including the homemade pipe bender.

My ground is flat enough and the tractors heavy enough that I haven't had any issues with predators reaching under or lifting the edge. I have had zero loses in these coops. If you were worried you could add a skirt of either hinged boards or hardware cloth. I also move them 2x daily so I don't worry about digging predators not have I seen evidence that any have tried.

the half hoops are 50"X8'. A second panel made into a run would be perfect for a breeding coop. It will hold 6 large fowl birds.

I looked at Kloppers last year and now I look at yours and the ones you pointed out.

I think I am going to make some of these for turkey breeding coops if not for everything. I am finding breeding coops/huts and runs are my biggesyt problem I have not hit the perfect one yet. BUT I can see promise in these, with 6 ft of height I could put roosts in them for my turkeys. Of course, my turkeys would need written instructions on how to use them as they hate anything over their heads..

Mine aren't 6'. It' fine because I'm short. They have a floor of course except the run. If I were to do a deep litter hoop I'd definitely take measure so nothing could dig under. That would mean digging and burying hardware cloth a foot or more down. Then bending the hardware cloth over the hoo so it extended out three to four feet. Using these for a tractor would also take a special design.

Turkey's are bigger than chickens of course but my chickens do have a roost.
