I agree the nipple waterers are great and I have two five gallon buckets with three nipples each in the Delaware run. Though I don';t think older birds get enough water with nipples.
I've not found a good sized waterer for the brooder though. Since I keep changing what I use to brood in I might be able to. My plastic bin brooder have no where to hang a nipple waterer.
I don't know about Cicadas since I'm in Alaska and while everything is blooming and nice not many birds or insects. Only one lone Magpie of late. I did see some Robins near the camp site a week ago and the Loons and Swan.
