Thank You! I did not get that part answered in the insect ID group. The ones with the yellow and black butts are the workers (females). The ones with the solid black butts are males or drones.
And your picture of the hive is wonderful. Maybe I will have one of those next year. My bee curiosity and anxiousness is building.
I did have another question, but I have forgotten. That’s another wonderful gift my birthdays have given me, again and again and again.
Is there a book that you would recommend that explains some of the subjects you highlighted, like the different types of honey cappings? Oh, I remembered my earlier question. I was watching a video (Les Crowder) pulling eggs and placing them in a queen bar (?) in efforts to grow out more queens. What if some of the eggs he chose happened to be unfertilized? What would an actual drone turn out to be like if he had been brooded as a queen-to-be? Would he just die, or what? Again, just a thought that peaked my curiosity as I was watching the video. Did your group have any other ideas, etc.?Thank You! I did not get that part answered in the insect ID group.
And drones have giant eyes.
I guess they need to be able to see that ‘sweet object’ they’re after flying around! It’ll be the last thing they see!
Oh, I kill me!
I couldn’t resist.I believe everything baby is adorable!Baby bees are so cute and fuzzy wuzzy!

Only got one response, then post got buried(not unusual).Did your group have any other ideas, etc.?
