Honey Bee Sanctuary - NOT!

Pics
Wow on all the info and I’m sorry to hear about your stroke. You know, life is short and we have to enjoy it to the fullest. I think all of us on BYC do this by loving our chickens.
No need to be sorry, bad things happen to good people everyday. It was just my turn is all. Life is very short, most people do not really realise just how short it truly is. According to medical science I should have been 6 feet underground at the age of 45 when my stroke took place. Parts of my brain went without blood flow for over 30 minutes. A big portion of that area was in my midbrain which is what controls our breathing and heartbeat. My breathing and heartbeat should have stopped the second my stroke took place. Not to mention the other areas that was hit as well, temporal, parietal and occipital all on the right side. Needless to say I have many many issues that this caused. The good thing that came from it all is one, I am not dead yet and two, I get to live out a single life but with the experience of them both being very very different. I see it as a blessing really. I mean who gets to live out two different lives as two different people in one lifetime. To boot I can remember my past life before the stroke. Sad thing is I do miss being me but at the same time I have learned to enjoy the new me. So yeah, I view it as a blessing really. Technically I won the life lottery. So please do not be sorry at all. Be happy because I won an experience in life that most would have to be (and I hate using this word "reincarnated" to get. I mean I see myself as a walking talking version of Lazareth in a nutshell. Who can say that and it be the closest thing to the truth at its deepest core. The "original" me is dead and gone and will never come back. This new version is completely different but with the experiences of my past life. Have you ever said or heard the saying "If I only knew then what I know now" Well, My version is better I know now what I knew then lol.

PS: Love and embrace everything you can, chickens, pets, bees, family, friends, and the simple things. A sunny day, flowers, rain even the crazy people no matter how messed up and a pain they can be. This gives the fullest of life for sure!

Also, changing gears, I wonder if you or anyone could help me identify my little water-loving neighbor bees? They do love the water pools, that’s for sure. However, the yellow jackets and hornets do too. I was just wondering because these seem to be a very docile bee.

Those look like honey bees. But there's only 4000 species of bees in the US. LOL. Mine aren't mean except when protecting the hive. They'd rather move out of the way than go after you any where else.
