Hoop coop covers — dark vinyl/greenhouse

My son and I have just about finished buying and acquiring all the items and tools we need to build our first chicken hoop coop. Originally we had thought of just using dark vinyl tarp over the whole 8’ (2 cattle panel) length. Now I’m wondering about having 1 panel covered in dark vinyl and the other in Greenhouse 6 mil. I’m trying to find a good mix of lighting and winter heating/summer cooling. I’m in southeast Michigan where we have relatively cold winters and hot summers. Any reflections would be welcome.

My husband bought silver tarps to put up over the hoop run. I really wanted to do green house plastic for the sunlight but he already bought them so that’s what we are using. This is the coop and new hoop run. I have lights and clear panels in the coop area so they won’t be completely without light.

I have half of my hoop run covered with a silver tarp. The other half isn't covered.
