Americana... Easter Eggers sold by many hatcheries in the $3 price range have NO standard of perfection and can be clean faced or beardeed and any comb style, shank color, etc.

I agree Easter Eggers CAN be any comb style, but in practice the majority of them seem to have pea combs (because of the gene linkage between the pea comb gene and the blue egg color gene.)

Yes... I understand what you are saying (majority of EE sold commercially still have pea combs) but there are more things than just that linkage between comb and egg color... Cream Legbars lay blue eggs and have straight combs for example.
