hoovers hatchery; do you recommend it?

All that you have said, which seems to be 2nd hand knowledge since your posts are short and incomplete, you can say about ALL the hatcheries. They are Bulk hatcheries and treat all the birds the same way.
Most of the issues are with the Shipping and P.O.
And your Friend should have gone to P.O. to pick up the chicks so I can't truly believe the story.
Who's best interest are you serving by buying from bulk hatcheries?
Who's best interest are you serving by buying from bulk hatcheries?

FYI, I believe that the majority of these 'Hatcheries" get their eggs from Breeders.
So to answer your question I am serving both MY and the Breeders interest to buy the breed that ' I ' want and it keeps us all happy and in business.

Edit: Can I also reply to your question "read some of their other customers recent rating reviews"
In the Business world there a known fact that is taught about good and bad customers. And with the invention of the internet and Reviews this can make it even worse since it is done incognito.
Satisfied customers will tell 1 or 2 people about their experience.
Dissatisfied customers typically tell nine to 15 other people about their experience; some tell 20 or more.

Also, if they had things to hide why do they allow people to FILM them at their operation ?
Some comments say the guy is rough with the chicks, he really is not.

Sure you can find BAD videos on places like if you watch the Sexing part on Murry Mcmurray hatchery

I understand every hatchery has an operation to run and that some people are die hard hatchery fans/supporters but when it comes down to it - I would much rather recommend people go support their small local farmers and breeders instead because at least small local farmers and breeders actually care about their baby chicks enough to not pick them up and throw them around all over the place.
