That one just developed the comb within the last week, so I hope it's a pullet!!That barred one is not a pullet? What breed do you think he is?

I'm hoping the same thing for one of mine. They're pushing nine weeks, and suddenly one of my Speckled Sussex "pullets" is sporting an awfully pink comb. I keep Nankin Bantams, so I'm not familiar with the growth patterns of standard breeds. I'm hoping this not-so-litte one isn't a game-changer. A standard sized rooster - ANY standard sized rooster - is way too large for my little Nanny hens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. That one just developed the comb within the last week, so I hope it's a pullet!!
How red are we talking? These were my babies at nine weeks old - all pullets.I'm hoping the same thing for one of mine. This is what they look like. The one white has a pinker comb and than the other. The barred keeps running away so I got that one behind the cage. Lol.How red are we talking? These were my babies at nine weeks old - all pullets.
