The coop is attached to the run. The pop door goes from coop to protected run.

Need to see how far door is from run wall......rod idea will probably work fine if door moves smoothly and rod is placed in a good spot. Might have to dink with it to find the right spot to attach rod.

I see the door plainly, but I don't have an understanding from the photo, of the doors relationship to the exterior location (outside the run), from which you want to able stand to open, or close, the door with the rod.

Good inside coop shot, good door shot, third shot, I don't see the door, so I don't know what I'm looking at in relation to solving this issue.

Another thought I had on this later was.....the rod will stick out from run wall about a foot, hopefully that won't be a problem with it getting run into and maybe bent.
Prefab coop often use hinged rods for pop door operation, so the part that sticks out folds down out of the way. Might be tricky for a DIYer to do that, but possible.
