horror movies too scary or gross and you didn't like

Though I do watch historical action films with my American history-nut hubby.

Right now we are watching Gettysburg. But horror, no. No vampire, zombie or that sort of thing either.

I have a low tolerance for blood and gore...can't watch the end of Braveheart because it's too awful... Horror movies are definitely not my thing; I don't get sick, but they make me feel uncomfortable and not very entertained...I don't really like it. I did go to see Pan's Labyrinth in the theater. That was quite enough for me.

Braveheart broke my heart! I don't know how people can do such horrible things to each other. I don't like watching movies that things like that really happened, because I get so disillusioned with humans from movies like that.

But we are capable of great good also.

The good things that we do don't always make movies because they tend to go unnoticed.

Not to hijack the thread. I tend to be very good at that.

I never even saw Chuckie but the movie trailers left me with a fear of dolls.

Yeah, me too. I mean...the whole eye thing. My boyfriend and I walked out saying "Hmm, that's really not a kids' flick, is it?"

A coworker told me a funny story about his son...when they were coming out of the theater his son was looking at all the "coming soon" posters and one was The Bride of Chuckie. His son was just learning how to read and he told his dad there was "no way he wanted to see the Bird of Chunky movie"! LOL

I saw Alien in college and I'm still freaked out by that movie. Scared me to death!

I made it through Hannible until I got to the part with Ray Liotta. Then I almost lost it. I don't get grossed out easily, either. I've never quite been able to look at Ray Liotta quite the same since.

I agree with whoever said Wolf Creek.

I can't stand movies where a woman is constantly screaming her head off, I just can't handle it. In Wolf Creek I was hoping he would just get done with it and kill the girl so she'd spot screaming.

I also can't deal with horror movies that have rape or a lot of sexual content like that - again, like in Wolf Creek.

Don't do too well with the torture ones, but otherwise I can enjoy most. Some, like The Happening and others by M. Night Shalom (sp?) I love to make fun of, because they're so stupid. The guy laying in front of the lawn mower, and the girl stabbing herself with her hair pin? I couldn't stop laughing.
