There's some lovely horses here and they are all very much loved I'm sure! I didn't know you are such a horse person @casportpony! I should have realised though with your name!
I could share more pictures but they are all photos of photos! My wife had a beautiful freisian and a 16.6hh thoroughbred she used to event on! We take life slowly now!

Welsh ponies are everso popular here. Wales is the other side of the Country from me! That said with UK being gargantuan in size it's only a couple of hours! I'll try and sort a few pics out, most of them are from before the age of digital cameras and phones so the quality and quantity is not so good.

Leslies photos Oct17-March18 1036.jpg
I know i am late! Did not see thread till a bit ago and then had to look through photos. Hope I chose interestingly.

My first horse/pony was a Welsh/Paint. I was 12 and delivered newspapers for my paper route on her. (Pre internet... does that date me or what?!!) She was a little snotty and broke a few of my toes because I went barefoot and bareback and I guess she knew it. But all in all she was great, sound and smart. Safe enough for me to disappear on her all day long and come home safe at night. Hombre would be my bigger version of her without the maturity... :/

I bet that must have been great fun delivering papers on horseback! Far better than on a bike! Welsh ponies I think are the more solid of horses. They do tend to be more well behaved but that said they can still have their moments! Kind of like a big Shetland! Is hombre the painted horse on you picture? I love painted horses.

Yes, the tall one... not quite sure what I was thinking pairing up with such a tall guy 15+. I guess, love is love.
I am so impressed you will give your family (daughter) the BEST Christmas gift ever!!! Does she know yet?!!

Yes. We took her down after school. She was so happy. It seems to have reignited something in me too. I have been out of horses for nearly 15 years and now I keep thinking about another! I like working horses more now though and I'd love a Suffolk punch, but they only come in pairs!!
