Wrll between my folks and me there is 2 spotted saddle mares Caddy and Vilote, a walkaloosa Kaepasa (spanish for what's up, do to the fact she has a ? on her forehead to include the dot on her nose) , mini Kabodole, hackney pony Dulce (spanish for candy, as in eye candy and kid candy), A spotted saddle x standerdberd Percilla, and Elivs the late 30s Arabin. We trail ride, no shows, but Caddy and Dulce would do great in a ring.
I have a strawberry roan Mustang. StarBuck is 19 years old and I've had him for almost 6 years. He has no desire to be ridden any more and I think he deserves his comfortable life. When I got him he was almost dead and my parents didn't think he'd live. I rode him for 4 years before I got him and I knew he wouldn't give up if given the chance to live. I love him regardless of not being able to ride him. I do miss riding though. It's one of my all time favorite things to do. I've never shown, but my neighbor has plans to teach me barrel racing and poll bending on her quarter horse. I can't wait till we get started.
I LOVE the Mustangs!! I had to put my red roan down last summer. My trusted mare that I would ride with my daughter..... Good for you for taking care of him all his life!!
Hi, It's great to meet other horse lovers. I have 3. Two paints and 1 palomino quarter horse that's 36 years-old this year! I've had her since I was 14. I actually live next door to my parents and my dad is a horse nut too. All together we have 9 horses, 1 pony, and 2 mini mules I adore even though they are brats. I was one of those lucky little girls that begged for a pony and got my first one when I was five. A true love that never dies. I left for college and lived away from horses for 10 years and couldn't stand it anymore. Had to move back to the farm for the horses even though that meant living with the parental units for a time. It was well worth it. Now have my own home that allows me to look out my window at the pasture where the horses happily graze. I also have 5 dogs, 6 rabbits, 2 zebra finches, and now my new additions...chickens! (2 silkies, 7 new baby chicks due to arrive in June) Yes, well worth it!
Hi, I have a Haflinger mare too! She is 4 this year, also have a TB my DD uses for eventing, a retired eventer, a Dutch Warmblood gelding I learned dressage on, a quarter pony mare we rescued from starvation, an old retired Paint gelding and soon a small horse for my DS. Hope to get down to 3 eventually! the irrigated pasture saves us from the hay bills...
I have to say my teenagers are the riders these days, I rode less and less over the last 2 years, I just dont have the time, but Im hoping to turn the Haflinger into a good trail horse

My dear Blaundee was a mustang. She died 4 years ago, but it still feels like yesterday in my heart. My 5y/o Sparkle is half mustang, thanks to her mother Wildfire (they are both red pintos)
Sparkle is now a mama to little one month old palomino pinto Dazzle, so we have 3 horses with mustang blood, and they are awesome trail and lesson horses.
