Horses slaughtered in FL?

The problem is with horse owners/breeders. They spent their ridiculous time breeding for color and this and that...then sending the ones that do not fit to auctions...they are sold for pennies and sent off to slaughter houses. People think horses are fun and when they realize they are time and money to keep, they discard them...those go to slaughter. Blame irresponsibility of owners/breeders in this too.

Makes me sick! I would like to get my hands on some of these 'color' breeders and let them spend a weekend with me...they would be afraid to look at a horse when I was done with them. they would probably be walking funny too!

Oh I see, so they stole it from their owner. I agree with you on that, but when there is an unwanted horse, the US should be allowed to slaughter horses with people who know what they're doing.

The horses should be left alone. We have wild deer don't we? Why can we not have wild horses roaming? I think its one of the beautiful things about US and I don't want all of them gone forever POOF! I don't think they should be fenced in either they are wild animals and its cruel to do so.

Wild deer populations are managed. You can bet your bottom dollar they start a mustang hunting season, the whole country would burst into flames of disagreement. The wild mustangs, are really technically the feral mustangs, and even then this is not part of this thread's discussion.
