Do u think this is about right?

Part of our fence is electrified with a solar panel, so if we get a run of overcast days its not charged up fully. But horses have good memories, so once they've been shocked with a wet nose to the fence they always remember and they don't "try" the fences. But I would always prefer the secure feeling of knowing the fence was on, especially if I had to be away for part of the day.

Check with your local feed or tack store for the cost of electric braid fence and posts in your area because it really varies.

Stearnrose, she was not the one beaten, but was very skinny when we got her, she had no gut her skin was up in her belly. Thank you I appreciate all the comments. My gelding is worth 12,000 he was a mountain climber, did roping, was used for gun shooting, but he didnt like it. Ect. The mare I dont know how much she's worth. We were told she used to be a western show horse in her younger days, but with her movements and the way she acts I think she was used for english. We were told she was 20, but our vet said she was 8-10 years. We were told she was a kid horse, she is very calm and sweet, but she has her moments of wanting to buck or crow hop, but with a slight tug she stops. So I dont think a kids horse lol.

Lol. I still can't get over the fact someone could just BEAT a horse. They give us so much love and trust. It makes me so mad. If you get the horse to beat it, then don't get it. Some people would die to get a horse. Lol.
