I received a package today just before heading out to do some shopping.
The weather was cold and overcast, so I put him indoors until
Celeste got home... then we let Roscoe out.
I just so happens that she wore yellow to school today!!!
While Celeste went in to change her clothes, Roscoe met the teenage chicks
and they were scared of him. Roscoe wanted to take a dirt bath too.
Sorry Roscoe, not today.
Celeste came back out and INSISTED that Roscoe take a bike ride.
Roscoe tried to get her to do a wheelie, but I said NO!
When they came back, I asked him if I could take a NAILS picture with him.
Roscoe thought that they were pretty cool looking and asked why I didn't have
yellow ones though.
After I showed him around a while, we decided to go check the nest boxes and yippee,
there were two eggs. A Leghorn egg and a White Rock egg.
The chicks followed us in and started to eat from their crate. Roscoe
watched from the outside. The babies were still afraid, but ate anyways.
Midnight won't even LET her 6 day old babies near Roscoe.
She screams when she sees me coming with Roscoe. lol!
When in the shed, Roscoe saw some fishing rods and just grabbed one.
He wants to go fishing on the boat while he is here. I told him absolutely!!
I also told him that we would look for the Scooby rod so he hasn't got to fish with a pink one.
He is so sweet and said it didn't matter, the color PINK reminds him of his girlfriend.
Roscoe said that he had read that I had three GIRL ducks and I had had to tell him that sadly
I had to give them to someone else. When I was having my surgery, no one wanted to care for them because they were so smelly
I told Roscoe that he is not smelly and that the ducks now live with 40 other ducks and that they have a big pond to play in too. Roscoe was happy after that!
Next we went to meet the adult flock. "They are such CHICKENS!" lol. Roscoe said that, not me!
I told him to be really quiet and still and MAYBE they would come over to see him.
And finally they did... sort of....
Time to go inside for a while... and Roscoe met Princess the cat
He also played on Celeste's horse toy for a while. He said he LoooooVES horses!
Tonight.. we have PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!
