Ft. Bliss is SO big there are never enough families for as many soldiers as need adopting.

Take a look see! I am actually proud this place is a part of our community. The local business teamed up to provide transportation to employees out there because it is too hard to get to for normal vehicles.

If we weren't going to be guests somewhere else, I'd be calling Luke AFB to find out if someone needed a place for Thanksgiving. GREAT IDEA.

Debi, did you end up finding a way to host the soldiers in our area? We are interested as well and kind anything online to host soldiers for Ft Irwin or Edwards AFB. Heck, even 29 palms marine base and China Lake Naval base aren't too far either.

My nephews adoption turned out great and he had a wonderful Thanksgiving! They've invited him back and he said he'll be happy to visit with them. It makes me feel so much better to know that my nephew has new friends near his base now. I hope this thread can hook up a few more of our kids out there.

I'm kinda bummed out..i didnt get a soilder to host...

*sigh* I just dont think that we have any live in bases around us..
Maybe for Christmas..That would be the BEST fun!

I am still hoping for someone on BYC to see this thread and send a soldier our way. We have several bases around us within driving distance.
