I came home tonight and my little babies I got yesterday were panting. Its pretty hot in there so I moved around the heat lamp so there were cooler spots but I'm worried there still won't be enough room for them to really chill out. How bad are hot chicks? Will they work it out ? Will they b OK if I see how they are in the morning ? Fyi I have another brooder w same kind of lamp and they are not panty.HHopefully moving the lamp up helps...

Best advice I got is to make sure they have enough room in the brooder to cool off. My brooder is pretty big, but I had the lamp dead center, and so it only ranged from hot to warm. I moved it off to one side so they had a larger range of temperatures to choose from.

I find they still sleep in the warmest part, but if they're up and about, they're happy to hang out in the cooler parts too.

I'm still new to this... Just relaying the advice I got when I asked the same question a couple weeks ago :)
