Indeed...last winter was worse snow started in December and lasted,13 feet total, and we had weeks long stretches below freezing, many in single digit F.

-2°F here this morning and feels like? I don't know but really cold. This is the first time I thought my fingers were gonna freeze before I was finished feeding the chickens. I can only dream of compost at this point. Stay warm.

Hah, my compost is warmer than that... 30C this morning. So you can keep your 70F...

I am soo abd still hvent started my compost pile... I keep finding other things to do..........come make it for me @vehve lol I was gonna try to do it yesterday but I got distracted planting jasmine and strawberry starts...........maybe tomorrow can finish the seeds I want to start and get the compost area set up...........

Do it quickly and you'll be fertilizing with home made compost in a few months. I'm going to try to manage without commercial fertilizers this year.

ya I need to especially now that the new raised beds are done and I'm not using it as a compost area lol...............of course maybe I could start the winter raised bed I been thinking of........mostly right now I am just dog tired...been just puttering around lil bit here lil bit there.....not sure why I am awake now I passed out earlier but woke up...trying to hydrate myself atm........
