Hey everyone! Our Buff Orpington has been laying eggs consistently with this random hot pink spot on them. Any thoughts as to what’s causing this?! It doesn’t wash off, it’s been on her eggs consistently since she started laying a few months ago. Thanks for your help!

never seen that much color but just looks like she lays a spotted egg .. i have one barred rock that shoots out spotted ones and they look alot redder when theyre still warm in the nest .. it would probably make you a millionaire if you promoted it and got magenta colored egg layers lol ..

That's an odd one, never seen a color on an egg like that.

When you break the egg to eat, does the color go all the way thru the shell?
I think it could be pigment related.

I got a light blue egg the other day with a bright blue streak like that, as if someone tried to decorate it for Easter.
