Hi everyone- newbie here. My flock is 16 weeks -black sex link. There is such variety of color & their combs are different colors. My question is- some combs have black on them- but I see them drinking water.. I’m afraid they are dehydrated? Or is it normal for some combs to be darker? Two examples attached
Thanks

Comb color varies! Especially with darker chickens like yours the combs can be darker! :D In my own personal experience I've noticed on younger birds their combs are skin coloured (in this case, dark/black) and as they grow they turn red, although in smaller combs they may not turn as red, or maybe not red at all! Just my experience though :D I believe your birds are getting plenty of water, just got some natural variation!
