My Houdan Roo mated with my mixed breed flock. I have Buff Orphingtons, Black Australorps, EEs, Barred Rock, Ameraucanas, Welsummers and more. The first few chicks have hatched and they are all similar in color with 5 toes. Any ideas on if they’ll grow up looking the same? Here are a couple for reference. Thanks!

With a Houdan rooster and that set of hens, I would expect most chicks to have 5 toes, crests on their heads, and black feathers.

If you find any chicks with white barring, they have a mother with white barring (example: Barred Rock), and they are males.

Some colors of hens would produce chicks that are all white (White Leghorns and Gold Comets are two kinds that would do this, although I don't see them on your list.)

If you have any hens with blue or splash, they can produce some blue chicks.
