Houdans

We use a very large 5 battery mag light just because it was available, works pretty good. even though none of my Houdans survived

I started with three Houdan chicks but now I only have one roo left. His tophat/crest is rather spiky and his mottling is heavier on the chest than back. Correct five toes and legs are black spotted. He's a bit larger than the polish but not by much. Any opinions to offer on my Houdani? Trying to decide whether to keep him and try again to find/hatch girls or give up on this breed. None of the eggs I purchased hatched and as mentioned above, he was the only one of three chicks to reach maturity.
I think you should take a vacation to Maine and drop him off on the side of the road... near me, which isn't far from a highway so it would be convenient!

No word yet on my eggs development other than one actually exploded the other day in the bator. Never had that happen before. Here is to hoping I get at least a few houdans out of this adventure.

Was it one of the houdans that exploded???? What causes that, none of mine have done that??? Was it one of the hairline cracked ones??? I haven't officially candled mine yet, but I know I have several clears in there.

she is amazing she has perfect body type, and creast, and beard, But i agree as she gets older and molts she will have more even coloring do u have a male 2?
Whoops - missed this comment.

Yes I have a male. I have 8 growing out that have lots of potential. Some are darkening earlier then these guys did. One doesn't have a beard at all! That won't do.

Are you located anywhere near I-40? I don't have anything to offer you right now, but we travel through there in the spring usually and by then my girl should be laying and maybe I could hand deliver some eggs to you to keep your line going.

I don't think so since I don't know where I-40 is
