DS has 8 empty homes on his street. Most of these homes were rentals to start with. A couple are real eyesores - one burned out two years ago, the other has been repeatedly vandalized by kids and the city will do little more than post letters. He would like to sell and get into a better area, but has to get rid of what he has now. He bought this home when he was 20 as a starter and was exceptionally proud of his purchase. Now he wishes he had waited until he was making more and could get a better home.
