Miss Lydia I raised Oliver until he was 4 weeks old before I sent him to Leese. She was worried because he was 4 weeks old he would not bond with her. I said yes he will Leesa and he listens to what you say. He tired to get out of his container and I told him you stay in there and he did. So Oliver has always listened to what he is told.
Remember Miss Lydia Oliver is my beloved Sammie son......

Miss Lydia I am so proud of Sammie son Oliver and he has made Leesa so Happy and brought out her writing books ability for children. I am like a big kid with the books about Oliver. I can hardly wait until the next book is written.... Not only are they cute but also educational as well.

They are so sweet, do you always have such docile geese hatch RURU? he is just so laid back it's amazing. Wish my grand kids weren't older or I'd buy these books for them.

Miss Lydia I like the books for me guess I am a big kid at 65 years young....

I raise my gosling in my bathroom which I am always in and pick them up and talk to them and they stay friendly more so than if raised by the parents. Once I let my goslings out with the adults they get more flock raised then single raised like Oliver was. I had him in my bathroom for his 4 weeks here. He had a brother in there with him and when they would try to get out I would say NO stay in your container and they listened... Then I sold Oliver to Leesa and had one left that I raise in the garage for a good while. This is the super sad part. I had put him in with Sammie and a I believe Gloria and he was scared and kept going and hiding in the corner and a raccoon came and got him in the corner of the pen and killed and ate him right through the pen.

That coon went to heaven because it came back to finish off what was left and husband got it.
This was so sad because this little goose was as sweet as Oliver and I held him all the time....

Miss Lydia and everyone this is the reason I hate raccoons so much is they got 3 of my newly hatched goslings through the pen and then this young teenager almost full grown gosling.....

That nasty raccoon dug a huge hole to try and get inside but did not finish it. We have done all kinds of things now to keep them out now.....

So we went out and bought hardware cloth and put it around the whole low part of the pen so for 3 foot up they can NOT stick the grimy paws in there to steal my geese...!!!!!

Good for you, My ducks/geese and chickens roam a large piece of fenced in property during the day but at night they have to be locked up coons are just one predator we have here that would kill and eat our flocks.

This is why I dislike coons and foxes so much. Plus hawks watch for babies so we make sure to put something over the top of my exercise pen... Mine are always put up and locked down at night... They free range during the day...

Hi everyone!
I thought I would post this year old video on how to diaper a goose....I no longer use this type of buckle diaper harness on Oliver but, it does show that if you put a diaper on a goose early on they will get used to wearing it. I now use a cotton fabric diaper harness with plastic liner, elastic straps and snap system. I use a whole size 6 baby diaper inside and double tape to stay in place. Oliver and I visit many schools and events and I can't have any leakage! I buy the fabric material from the store or design the fabric and have it made. This way I can dress Oliver in holiday designs or in a polka-dotted diaper that matches the diaper in my latest book, "You Can't Potty Train a Goose!" I send the diaper maker the fabric and she makes them at a very reasonable price.

I have not yet made a video using the new diapers because they are a bit trickier to put on him and doesn't make for a good video! LOL!

That is so precious how Oliver has so much trust. He is awesome. What made you decide to get a goose as a pet Leesa?
