That is so exciting! You do realize that we will not be satisfied with just the "after" pics, right?
We need you to document the entire process. We want to see the pile of nasty, stained carpet, the sample paint brush marks on the siding, the flaking trim, you guys scraping . . .
Lol, I'll see what I can scrape up. We tore out the carpet and got most of the padding nails out. But that darned carpet wood slats with nails is heck!
The railing is very sturdy, even though it doesn't look like it. I'll be painting the little picket fence and the porch white tomorrow after work.
Floors need resurfacing, replace some boards and sealing.
This is 'hell', our bathroom. We will get the plumber in last right before we move in, since he needs electricity to move the bath plumbing to up high for a shower stall and figure out why the sink isn't getting water. It pretty much needs to be fully gutted...but we're poor.
The back looks far nicer...odd. Roof needs sanding, patching, rust proofing, painting. Side painting needs to be done within a month and we have about 4mo to do the roof before the insurance co. will fully accept covering the house...
These people had pets in the house, scratching at walls, doors, chewing and peeing on everything. Mud everywhere, no one ever cleaned....ever..or vacuumed. Layers of linoleum floors, fake everything, windows not installed right, plastic shudders. Laundry room had old carpet, half torn and chewed out. Rot in those walls and 3in of mud, poo and idk.
Painted the front of the picket fence. Took 3+ hrs.
Doing the inside of the fence tomorrow. Need to bring a pick ax tomorrow to dig out the 4in of crap/mud in the chicken coop. Wow the mess...they truly never cleaned anything at that house..
Looks like fun. Some of the best times we have had have been remodeling. I would have to paint the bathroom for now. Looks like something from Steven King "RED RUM". When we moved in, the master had teal walls, pink curtains and lime shag. Have Fun. Congrats!
