Recently acquired these 2. Help me not kill them. I am bad with all house plants. I want to give it a good try, though.
I think the first one was called an angel wing begonia. Love the swiss cheese plant.
Begonia: What size and type of pot to put it in?
Recommended soil type?
Swiss Cheese: Came in that pot. When will it need to be repotted?

It does look like a begonia. It looks like it's in a pot right now, so I wouldn't change it just yet. As for the montera, an aroid mix works great. It will need to be repotted in a out a year to 6 months, or if it becomes root bound. I'd also get a moss pole for it. All pots should have drainage holes

The begonia is in a small plastic pot. I bought it at the Farmer's Market. I wanted to put it in a prettier pot. LOL I'll just sit the black pot in another one for now.
Will look for moss poles.

Maybe get some terracotta pots. With drainage holes of course. Those are nice. Admittedly I keep all my succulents (with the exception of one in a plastic pot, and if I ever want it to look pretty, I just place the plastic pot in a larger decorative one. Good luck!

I really want to succeed this time. I have clay pots here I can use.
I put them on the porch for more light until the the lights I bought arrive. Then I want them in the house.

Sounds like a plan! Your guys LOVE humidity, so look into that as well. A good moss pole (and not the cocoa fiber stuff) should be enough for the monstera

I did not know moss poles existed. Thank you so much! Ordered some in various sizes because I wasn't sure which to get. LOL I can always get more plants.
