Houseplant and succulent enthusiasts

I‘m actually trying to revive an african violet for a woman at my church, although I am almost certain it’s dead, lol. 😖
I’m hoping it can pull through and send out some new growth soon.

You might see about making a sort of lighted case, perhaps by putting an under-the-cabinets light fixture in a bookshelf and adding a little shade along the top edge. And a timer. This way she can have more of a box-of-light effect and not seem to light up the room so much. I used to grow a lot of african violets that way, and with the timer on to always give them 12-14 hour days they bloomed all the time too. There are these amazing miniature african violets that'd let you have a whole bunch of different ones in a small space. (Keeping the standard ones small makes them bloom more, too)
I have a china hutch that I would LOVE to do something like this with.

The last few years there have been these super-thin super-bright LED panel lights, like 8" squares. My brother used them in his basement. That sort of thing would be perfect in a hutch, under each shelf. Making china hutches into big planted vivariums for geckos and such you get this problem of the plants shading themselves and there being too much light fall-off for low growers anyway. But with small/short plants close to the light source I've had good success. And seldom bothered with grow-light bulbs for flowering houseplants, I just used a middle-of-the-spectrum 'daylight' colour.

My mammillaria just bloomed today!

(Ignore the dead daisies in the window lol)
I *think* the bigger one is a spiny pincushion, it blooms pink every year. The little one has been that size for forever, but it blooms almost every year so I think it‘s happy.

And here is the pitiful African violet. I had hope that it was going to make it as it still had some green, but it’s looking pretty terrible. 😢

Recently acquired these 2. Help me not kill them. :D I am bad with all house plants. I want to give it a good try, though.
I think the first one was called an angel wing begonia. Love the swiss cheese plant.
Begonia: What size and type of pot to put it in?
Recommended soil type?
Swiss Cheese: Came in that pot. When will it need to be repotted?
