If you were to clip a wing on the entire flock, could you house the flock in a run in shed / lean to and use a mesh livestock gate to keep them in? Looking to house them in an open area that can easily be revamped for other livestock later if need be. Just seeing if it would be feasible to house my flock in a bay of my cow barn, it’s enclosed on three sides. Thanks!

You can house them anywhere you want. I don’t know how big of a flock you have, my neighbor is the mesh queen, I personally don’t use it. I would put up perches and some poop boards if you’re going to house something eles later. Do you have flighty birds?

It's possible, but there's not enough information in the OP to give an intelligent answer. How many birds? What kind? How large is the shed/lean to? Do you plan to free range or will they be continuously confined to the run? Geographical location? Why not build a gate large enough that they can't fly over?

They’re pretty calm but they to test their fencing to see if they can get over it. The pen would be about 16ft W x 20ft L . This shed is protected by other buildings so I’m not worried about weather as much as I am about temperatures being the high ceiling. The plan is to let them out during the day and expand the flock from 14 to 25 or so. I basically wanna move everything from my existing coop into the cow pen.

.No. Won't work unless you plan on building a wire wall from the roof to the side walls or building a secure roof the height of the wall. If you have some hog or cattle panels around you could easily build a hoop coop using the stall as the anchor.
