Hello and Happy Easter!
I have 2 1602n hova bators with fan kits. One of the fans is super noisy, noise sounds and feels its due to excessive vibration.
This is a brand new fan! Anyone else have this problem or a solution? I'm thinking defective fan.
I know it could be replaced but don't want to have the lid off for that long.

Thanks

J

Maybe you should call the company and ask them? Or have you tried tightening the screws that hold it in place? Im sure it is something simple. It would drive me nuts, too. Hope you get it fixed. Happy Hatching!!

Tried emailing the company 4 days ago, no answer....I love good customer service!
I tried fiddling with the screw, no difference. Thanks for your response!

I wonder what the effect of the vibration would be on the eggs?
Is it safe to go from fan to still air on day 8?
These are pheasant eggs by the way

I dont see why not. I used a still air and got 80 % hatch this time. Good luck.

Guess, I'll disconnect the fan and go still air. Thanks for the help!

My hovabator was vibrating and making lots of noise. I put a book on top. It turns out that the lid no longer fits quite right and the extra weight solved the problem.

I used longer screws on my fan to drop it away from the top. You can still hear the fan, but it is better than it was:D

I put a couple of drops of oil on mine occasionally. Quiets it down some.. That is if it is the type with the small shaft where you can get to it.
