My old Hovabator has seen better days,so thinking of replacing it.
Would like some feedback or what's the preferred 'bator, before I go buy one. They only sell LGs at our feed store,I think a nearby town has Hovabators though.
I have about 2 dozen duck eggs I want to toss in. Also lost one of the little plastic windows on my H.

I'd get a Hovabator...you can order from GQF or Cutler Supply and it'll be here in just a couple of days. The only thing I'd trade my Hova Genesis 1588s for is a Dickey or a Sportsman.

The only thing a LG is fit for IMO is a hatcher. If you have to go styro, get a genesis hova. No since wasting money.

Hova, every time.

My only issue with this is that a full blown Hova, with all the options, is no longer cheap.

For what they charge I can build better, so ya might wanna make your own.

Well, alot happened since I made this thread. Neighbor dogs killed all but 1 (Rouen hen) of my 6 ducks. I have 44 of their eggs, about half were in the fridge. I have them sitting on the counter, hope the Hovabator stablizes overnight so I can try hatching some. Took some plastic and duck taped it over the missing window. Hope to get SOME of their babies to hatch.

Gaah, RIP poor ducks. Very sorry for your loss.

Best wishes on your hatch.
