Just for contrast here. I am very thankful my son had his seatbelt on, becuse a woman, hit him nearly head on, at highway speeds, without warning, no brakes applied by either party. And he limped away with just a severely twisted ankle, nothing else.

From what I heard they were still talking about that crash a week later and was surprised when my son show up on crutches to get stuff out of his car.

Had he not had it on, my life, his wife's life, and my grandaughter's life would have changed dramatically in that instant.

From what I see, he still races to get his seat belt on ahead of everyone else in the car, just as we encouraged when he was a child, and continued until he was driving on his own. I can see the results in the differences here. If you won't do it for yourself, at least do it for those who care about you.

My oldest son was saved not once but twice by seatbelts in car accidents where the vehicles were totalled.

The first time was 3 weeks before he was born. I was in a car accident and was wearing my seat belt. I got rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and the only thing wrong was a bruise on my huge belly. My DS was fine, but I had to keep going back for them to check his heartbeat.

The next time, he was in his early twenties and hit a patch of black ice on a curve at night and flipped the car several times. Again he was not injured at all.

Keep up the good work in your story - so far so good.

I've been busy this past week and I didn't get much time to finish writing the 2nd chapter and to edit it, but now I am done writing it! all I need is to do the final edit and I'll post it

I think it's much better if I edit it now than to wait later when I'm about to publish the book.
