Hi as far as i know they haven't eaten any, sometimes i'll find some in the bottom of their bucket but not often. sure does help keep the mud to a min. this isn't the pea gravel this is called river rock at Lowes, it's larger.![]()
Miss L, how are your geese around the pea gravel? I was considering using some, but I'm afraid my geese would try to eat it.
I was being crafty & working with some glass stones when my goose decided she would lend a hand. She came right over and picked up a stone with her beak & started chewing on it - I had a mini heart attack because although I could tell she was just playing with it, I was worried she would accidentally swallow it (or choke on it!) When she dropped it, I quickly got it & picked up and saved my project until after the geese were put away.
how about ducks on it?Hi as far as i know they haven't eaten any, sometimes i'll find some in the bottom of their bucket but not often. sure does help keep the mud to a min. this isn't the pea gravel this is called river rock at Lowes, it's larger.
I have had it down close to a year and everyone seems to do fine on it.how about ducks on it?
Well I have to share this because Sammy is the Embden and even though it pertains to Missy to he started it, I was outside looking at the paper and Sammy and Missy were standing on the patio just a few feet from me, when i look up and Sammy is climbing on Missys back, To Mate most likely, well first time i have seen this and first time for Missy too because she hollers and takes off running and it scared Sammy so much he took off running after her. I just sat there and laughed. So strike 1 for Sammy. He tried. I was trying so hard to get the camera out of my pocket so i could share the loving moment. Botched that one.![]()
I think they should try the pool next time.he needs a do over,lol![]()
