My geese are jolting their wing feathers, but when will my goose start laying again? My gander seems a lot calmer but why was he so wild up during the winter? I think they are confused in which season to lay eggs

Four hatched and three more pipped and working on it. Such alert little babies, talking and nibbling at my hands.

Is this the first laying season? Last year I had a weird season, was still getting eggs late even in December!

Found this on YouTube about sexing geese:

I love this video, and have it saved. Ganders are much larger, taller and very protective of his goose hens. This is exactly how Big Boy acts! He is a good bluffer.. He has only flogged/bit/pinched me once in 3 years I've kept Embden. I reached to grab a frozen water tub and bang. He got me! So I grabbed him and down we went. I immediately pinned him. The pictures are very accurate, I have 3 Embden geese and 1 Embden Gander. They are a very large bird.
I will not let a gander get away with aggressive actions with me, if I do I cannot provide them proper care. BB still challenges but since then has not tried to attack.

Hi everyone. I'm Kelly. This is my first post on here. I would just like to say I love all the pics. I'm thinking of getting embden geese. I have seen advertised a farmer selling 5 year old geese as they are at the the end of there commercial laying life.. I have 3 dogs .3 horses and 1 chicken ( she is now 7 yrs old ) could they become friendly.. can some give me advice please
