How awesome that there is a place to go that is NOT Facebook!!!!!

Hello. I was so overjoyed to find that there are still message boards. How absolutely wonderful! My name is Peggy (Squabbie) I raise...you guessed it, pigeons. Utility Kings-white and silver. I also have a ridiculously hilarious pair of Norwich Croppers (Google them--they are some goofy looking birds). I used to have a 110 acre farm and of course, raised chickens, but my husband and I now are city folk and I turned to Pigeons. My husband is retired USMC and I am former USMC. My father and mother were both Marines in WWII. We live in a small town on the shore of Lake Michigan. We have one son that has a family just north of us, also in a small town on Lake Michigan. I am an RN currently on Short Term Disability awaiting back surgery. My husband just retired for a second time :) I am so looking forward to sharing knowledge, laughter, and comradery with folks!!
Hey Peggy 👋
My husband just built me a really nice aviary and we have been looking everywhere for king pigeons with no luck :( do you have any advice or direction on where to find pairs?? We are in Michigan as well :)
We have chickens, but I’ve been looking into pigeons for a few years now. I’ve loved learning about their personalities and traits, we will be biodynamic gardening in 2022 so we want to use the droppings in that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Sounds like you have a lovely set up!!
