How Baby Chicks Are Made....

Oh my God, I always thought it was completely unnatural, but I had no idea that they were put on conveyor belts and thrown around! How in the world do they not break their legs when they throw them like that!? Thank you for posting this, I will never buy chicks from a hatchery again.

Happens year round, supplies our meat and eggs, and often fuels our hobby. They sure are tougher than they seem! Automation is what probably makes chicks "cheap" to buy from the feed stores.

This is why I hatch my own. I dont support commercial hatcheries. But thats my opinion

. I find it rather distasteful

Oh God, my mom saw a film about how factory farmed animals are treated and they just throw the boys in the trash. I have a feeling they were an egg producer.
I just watched the other video, why the hell do they hold them by their wings?! The poor little babies are screaming bloody murder. When I saw the first video, I went in and cuddled my babies. I ordered them from MPC because I can't find breeders anywhere around here. I HATE the idea of shipping and all that, but had no idea what really goes on. I will never do it again.
