How can I make my turkeys live longer

Hello! I recently got some broad breasted white turkey babies and then learned that they’re only expected to live about a year or two?!? How can I help my babies live longer? Would feeding them a lower protein feed help (from 30 to 20)? Daily exercise? Thank you

They need a high protein turkey or game bird starter to get a good start. Failure to provide proper feed at a young age will cause leg problems early on. High protein (28% to 30%) for the first 6 to 8 weeks followed by Turkey or game bird grower (24%) protein for another 6 week.

Once they are at least 3 months old, you can decrease the protein content. Make sure it is a quality feed and not skimping on the other essentials such as lysine, methionine and niacin.
