How can I make this feeder?

I saw this picture online but no instructions. Is this legit and how would you make this? I’m also looking to try and use rain water as a source for drinking with some sort of automation. Does anyone know of anything like that?

Either of these will work. The feeder is just the top of a second jug inverted into the other, and holes cut out for heads. Make sure the edges are dulled somehow so they don't cut themselves.

The water is the same setup, with a float valve. You could probably do the same without the float valve, as long as your reservoir is well sealed.

If I were building it I would make the inverted jug whole, inserted into the bottom half of the other. Looks like this one is designed to be filled from the top, so I'm not sure how they did that.

I have a rainwater catchment system on both coops, but the watering systems aren't finished yet. I plan to use a float valve so when the water gets too low it refills automatically from the water tank. Same idea as a toilet.

Actually I saw your post recently and I was able to get a water jug from work and had planned to make it! Then I saw this other one today.
