How can I tell if I'm a duckling hoarder? lol

Went to TSC just to "see" what they had - and they had a trough full of ducklings on clearance! Who can pass on this??


The employee offered to sell me all of them for $.50 each! I gave it some serious thought, but sadly, I could only take home 6 since I got 10 two weeks ago (and they're huge already). And I'm now apparently "not allowed" to go into TSC again as long as it's Chick Days.

I think I may have 5 fawn and white Runners and 1 Rouen (or Mallard). One of the Runners looks a bit older than the others. Wish I could have taken them all home.

Oh gosh fawn an White Runners that’s what I am getting from Cackle I am not allowed within 50 miles of TSC. Last year @CayugaJana did that very thing bought all that were left. She was my hero. I hope someone buys hem and gives them a loving home

I was going to do it (and there was one little yellow duckling with a bad leg in that bin, too, that the employee said would go to their "hospital" ), but just don't have the facilities for it. It's a bit horrible to have to choose from the group, but they were mostly Pekins and Hybrid White Layers, which I already have. I'm hoping that it's such a good deal that someone nice will take them all, too...though I can't figure out why only that bin was on clearance - there were some older ones in there but very young ones, too. Weird. The young ones looked just like the full-priced ones in another bin.

Hubby said I looked like a "cartoon character" when the employee made the offer.

Ship date is April 24th . What precious babies I always think of when going to TSC or other feed stores and buying ducklings as actually rescuing them. I wish hubby had gotten a pic of that. lol
