How can i tie up my chicken?

@Peppercorngal this picture leaves me with soo many questions.... who... why... what the.... 🤔
This I how they sell chicken in the marketplace in Malaysia. You pick your chicken, buy it, take it home to butcher and process and have for dinner. It insures that the buyer is truly getting a "fresh" chicken. It bothers some people, but I think it's better than killing them and putting them in a refrigerated area for people to buy. If they are not purchased, they go home, eat and drink and later they try to sell it again. Longer chicken life that way. :p

I have an American Game who is aggressive and as of present , dangerous to my flock. Does anybody here tie up aggressive roosters? By tie up I mean have a rope (ect) to one foot and that rope tied to a tree or some other structure? Can you make something like that diy?

A problem I can see with a bird on a string is it can be an open invitation to predators when the bird can not escape.

You can use a horse trick called hobbling (only for short term until you get a cage available).
You tie both legs together with about 3 inches of gap (width set so they can stand & take tiny steps). However since he has wings, you May need to clip his flight feathers (at least some).
The short “leash” should keep him from getting too tangled. However he would now also be easy prey for a stray dog or hawk & will likely be unable to get into the coop or roosting bars on his own. FAR BETTER to use a cage...

Not totally related but... I used to have a horse that could seriously work hobbles. She would put her nose to the ground and SHUFFLE SHUFFLE SHUFFLE. Infuriating but hilarious.

Please don't tie up your chicken!! Separate him. If you tie him, you will find an injured, crippled rooster that you'll have to put down.
