sorry...grows above the 4th toe and only develops when the rooster is very mature (around 1 year old...)

haha tell that to my 1.5 year old oegb he still has spur stubs

well that's a bit hard on this breed since here in the US that breed is tailless

my advice to everyone with chicks this young is to keep them as long as you can or to at least 20 weeks by then you should be able to at least see the saddle and hackles of a cockerel at the most peeping through the rest of the feathers
