Hello everyone,
I'm working on getting our previously used coop ready for our four new chickies-2&1/2 wks old right now. Were starting fresh, gave away the four hens we had when we moved.
I'm trying to make the coop look like our house since it will be 25 ft away in the side yard. (See profile photo for a before picture). I'm in mid-MI, temps 70's.
I spray painted the black shingles brown, and I'm working on painting the outside yellow with white trim-like the house
My questions for all of you are-
1. Should I hose out the inside inside and scrub with vinegar (or other cleaner?)-or is it a bad idea to get it that wet?
2. Should I treat with pyrethrin spray before putting chicks in the coop?
3. Should I paint or white wash the inside?
I took out one nest box & going to put in a longer roost bar...any other advice or ideas how to spruce up the coop or make it more functional? Thank you!!!
